This morning, fly from Nairobi to Nanyuki, crossing the equator on your way. Continue to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a private reserve spanning 90,000 acres of pristine African wilderness, home to the Big Five. Arrive at your stunning tented camp in time for lunch. Nestled among fever trees in the shadow of Mount Kenya, Sanctuary Tambarare in Laikipia offers sweeping views of the grassy plains. Your spacious tent includes a private veranda and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Spend two full days exploring the activities Ol Pejeta has to offer. Visit the canine unit, integral to the conservancy's anti-poaching efforts. Learn about the dogs, tour their kennels, and even play a game of hide and seek with them. In 2009, Ol Pejeta Conservancy became home to Najin and Suni, the world’s last remaining northern white rhinos. Meet them up close and hear their remarkable stories while learning about the incredible efforts to save their species from extinction.

Fly to the Masai Mara, the northern extension of the Serengeti. Settle into your accommodation on a private stretch of the Mara River, then embark on an afternoon game drive. Follow the Mara River to see crocodiles basking in the sun, hippos wallowing in the mud, and monkeys causing mischief in the trees. You might also spot any of over 400 species of birds. During your stay in the Mara, relax at Sanctuary Olonana, one of the finest safari lodges.

Over the next two days, choose your own adventure, whether it's thrilling game drives or watching hippos from the decks of Sanctuary Olonana as you savour the day passing by. While on a Masai Mara safari, take the chance to visit a local school supported by our Tiwi Travel School Lunch Feeding Program. Experience authentic interaction by helping the cooks in the kitchen, from chopping vegetables to stirring big vats of beans, and finally serving the children their meals.
